Detective Conan changed my life

Recently I finally decided to up pick on reading the Detective Conan/Case Closed manga. Its over 700 chapters long now, so usually when I would think about beginning to read it, I would be like

But then I remember that Detective Conan was like my freaking childhood. One fateful summer night, I was an itsy bitsy grade-schooler who stayed up until 4:00 AM then saw this show I hadn't heard of before! And I was like

And then I started staying up till 4:00 AM for the rest of the summer! It was a legacy to last a lifetime.

When school started again, I would try instead to wake up at 4:00 AM to see episodes of Case Closed, but usually that didn't work out so well.

And so I grew older and failed to keep up with the show then learned that its American run on Cartoon Network was rather short-lived anyways.

So now that I'm twice the age I was when I first saw Case Closed, I decided once and for all to go stalk my old friend,Conan Edogawa, again!

My gosh-fishsticking love of comics

I love manga and comics. Whenever I am reading a comic, I become totally oblivious to everything around me.

Sometimes I have responsibilities like homework or sleeping that get pushed aside because I'm obviously busy reading a comic. Naturally, in this situation, I continue to keep telling myself that I'll read just one more chapter or one more page.

Since running out of pages is a total fun-killer when I'm in the zone with my reading, I often find myself rushing off to find more and more comics to read.

In fact, when I grow up, I'm probably going to end up living in a house that's so full of comic books and manga that everyone who enters will mistake the bookshelves for a wallpaper.

But even then, I could eventually run out of comics to read! I would turn into a pretty depressing person then.

So instead, I decided I might try drawing my own comics!

But when I write stories, they end up turning out like

And my drawings often turn out like

So instead of trying to come up with my own stuff, I'm gonna go scribble funny things about comics other people made!
